Unannounced Firearm Shipments

Purpose

McKenzie Gunworks does not accept firearm shipments without prior notification. This policy establishes the procedures for receiving, securing, returning, and charging storage fees for firearms shipped to our facility without advance approval.

Advance Notification Required

Before any firearm is shipped to our facility, the sender or intended recipient must contact us and provide:

• Sender’s name and contact information 
• Recipient’s name and contact information 
• Expected delivery date 
• Firearm make, model, and serial number 

No shipments may be made until confirmation is received from McKenzie Gunworks.

Unannounced Shipments

Any firearm that arrives at our facility without prior notification will be treated as an unannounced shipment.

Unannounced shipments will:

1. Be logged into our A&D record as required by federal law 
2. Be secured in storage pending immediate return to the originating FFL or vendor 

We will not process transfers or release unannounced firearms to any recipient.

Storage During Return Process

If a firearm cannot be returned on the day of delivery due to shipping delays, vendor requirements, or lack of a return authorization, it must be stored securely in compliance with federal and state law. In such cases, a $20 per day storage fee will apply beginning on the day after delivery, continuing until the firearm is shipped back to the originating FFL or vendor.

Storage fees apply regardless of:

• Who initiated the shipment 
• Whether the buyer or vendor arranged the return label 
• Vendor delays or customer actions 

Return Process

We will coordinate the return of unannounced shipments as follows:

• If a prepaid return label is provided, we will attach it and ship the firearm back to the originating FFL or vendor 
• If no label is provided, the billed party may pay return shipping costs directly      to McKenzie Gunworks to initiate the return 

The firearm will not be shipped until:

• All storage fees are paid in full, and 
• A valid return shipping method is provided 

Acknowledgment

By shipping a firearm to McKenzie Gunworks, all parties acknowledge and accept this policy, including the application of storage fees for unannounced shipments.
